Original beige cloth decorated with large colour pastedown and lettered in black on boards. Colour frontispiece and 26 black and white drawings by Thomas Maybank (All present). Pastedown suggests publication date of 1910. A delightful make-believe storybook for young children. Book has chewing damage to top gutter corners from pages 131 to 167 with no loss of text or illustration. Based on the number of internet references, lots of people remember reading this book. 254 pp. plus ads for The Wonder Book and others. Several library stamps, most covered by a neat white paper square glued into place.
