Original grey pictorial cloth decorated in green and red on boards. This book has been read, loved, and fingered nearly to death, but with no writing or obvious abuse. The "Pair" are Guy and Beryl(Berry), young twins who live with their father and servants in a neglected manor house by the sea in Devon. The father is a writer going through lean times, but opportunity calls him away to the city. The children, arguing over who is to be "master" or "mistress" in their father's absence, are left in the servants' reluctant care. Please overlook cracked hinges and fingerprints in order to enjoy the many enchanting line drawings and heartwarming story with a religious bent. To stave off the inevitable, I glued both hinges. 144 pp.

Original red cloth on boards, highly decorated in gilt with pictorial pastedown. No DJ. Cover pastedown depicts the finding of Moses in the bulrushes. Twelve colour illustrations. A short message to be read each day, with scripture references. 366 pp. followed by ads and reviews of ten other titles of hers, then ads for books by Adeline Sergeant and David Lyall. This books required taping of the front hinge, and shows normal wear overall. No internal marking.
