Red cloth on boards. DJ condition ranges from Poor to Very Good (All have DJs.) The most interesting thing about this set is that it was owned by Foon Sien (1899-1971), a Chinese lawyer who was active in the earliest fights for voting and other rights for Chinese immigrants in Vancouver. His small red name/address stamp appears at least once in every volume. The volumes are titled: Science, Travel, Biography, History, Letters, Fiction I, Fiction II, Essays, Poems I, Poems II, Drama, Autobiography, and the Master Guide, which is a suggested program of reading all the books over the period of a year. The 12 volumes contain approx. 250 pp. each, while the Master Guide has 119 pp.
