1 Beesley, Lawrence The Loss of the SS. Titanic; Its Story and Its Lessons
Boston and New York Houghton Mifflin Company 1912 First Edition Hard Cover Very Good No Jacket Three Photos and Two Sections
Original black cloth on boards. No writing. Small bookseller's label. Small white cover spot appears to be residue of cloth adhesive tape. Normal hand soil. This book puts the reader into the picture as closely as possible, since the author was a survivor who wrote this account only a few weeks after the accident. The dead numbered 1503 - 815 passengers and 688 crew. The Carpathia rescued 705. "Such is the record of the Titanic, the largest ship the world had ever seen...." p.3.
