Original maroon cloth decorated in gold on boards. Unclipped DJ nicked at corners and 1-inch tear at head of spine. Edited by Rev. J.P. Hicks, affiliated with the Western Methodist Recorder in Victoria. The subject of the book, Reverend Pierce, was born at Fort Rupert. When his mother died soon after, he was taken away by his grandfather to Port Simpson. There is a small amount of pencil notation and underlining in the book, which is otherwise quite clean and sound. Previous owner's name and address on rear endpaper. 176 pp.
