This book is the wrapup of a four-part series - Rogue Herries, Judith Paris, The Fortress, and Vanessa, which comprised the high period of Walpole's popularity in the 1930's. The DJ verso exudes the highest praise for Walpole in the words of J.G. Priestley. 851 pp., ending with a large foldout family tree. Heavy book might need extra postage.
