Original tan tweed with brown lettering on boards. Yellow/gold spine on DJ, orange endpapers, lists to The Crisscross Shadow on DJ flap. Short inscription dated 1955. Thumbnail-size piece missing from foot of DJ spine. Well-protected in mylar wrapper. 212 pp.

Original tan tweed with brown lettering on boards. Yellow/gold spine on DJ, orange endpapers, lists to The Secret of Wildcat Swamp on DJ flap. Half-inch tear top front of DJ, but well-protected by mylar wrapper. This is the third of the series, and we have the first two listed separately - all from the same home. Gutter between frontispiece and title page strained, so glued. 212 pp. plus ads for Rick Brant, etc.

Original tan tweed decorative paper boards, good DJ. Not a first edition, but the earliest and best I've had. By the author of the first 11 in the series, Leslie McFarlane, who worked as a free-lancer for the Edward L. Stratemeyer Syndicate. Franklin W. Dixon was a pseudonym shared by all the authors of this popular series of mysteries for children. Minor rubbing and tearing of DJ edges. SEE SCAN. 180 pp.
