Original pictorial paper on boards, with green cloth spine. Red pencil on three prelim. pages, and minor scrapes on cover, edges, etc., although intact and easily readable. Full-page illustrations. Believed ca. 1950. 175 pp.

London Macmillan and Co. 1880 Forty-second Thousand Hard Cover Fair No Jacket Ex-Library 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall John Tenniel
Original red cloth with central silhouette of the queen in gilt on boards. The saving grace of this worn and torn ex-library copy is the fact that it has 50 Tenniel drawings. On the verso of the half title is a list of characters titled "Dramatis Personae". with the following recto displaying a chess board, below which is a chart of sequential moves correlated with page numbers. High school library stamp on title, with evidence of card envelope and due date list removal. Previous owner's name and date (1880). Both hinges neatly book-taped. Cover corners worn. Prelim tears repaired with invisible mending tape. "Jabberwocky" still delights ! 224 pp. plus ads.

Original bright red cloth with soldier and lettering in black on boards. No DJ. Princeton undergrads calling themselves Veterans of Future Wars created this begrudging acceptance of the likelihood of what would become World War II. Thought-provoking and historically informative. 107 pp with index. "Humourus" line drawings.
