Original dark green textured cloth over boards. Ex-library with none of the usual markings except a small red ink stamp on bottom of text block reading "SJRL-WD" (Saint John Regional Library - Withdrawn). One-inch break between front cover and top of hinge. Previous owner's name and purchase details on front free endpaper. Two small water stains on edge of textblock not affecting text. Sir Walter Scott wrote a tribute to Swift on the title page: "No author in the British language has enjoyed the extensive popularity of the celebrated Dean of St. Patrick's. The vivid and original pwer of his genius has supported him in the general opinion, to an extent only equalled by his friend Pope, and far surpassing any other of those geniuses who flourished in the Augustan Age of Queen Anne." Volume VI of Swift's Works includes his "Miscellaneous Works - Political, Historical, and Religious." Most of these are letters. 720 pages.
