Arranged into five parts: Literary Miscellanies, Quarrels of Authors, Calamities of Authors, Character of James the First, and The Literary Character. Minor foxing on endpapers and prelims. Marbled endpapers and edges. 484 pp. Isaac D'Israeli (1766-1848), son of Benjamin D'Israeli, a Jewish merchant descended from Spanish refugees who went to England in 1748, and father of Benjamin D'Israeli, First Earl of Beaconsfield. Previously, Isaac wrote Curiosities of Literature.
