Bunker Bean is a meek office clerk with big dreams who isn't going anywhere. Armed with this new "knowledge", he pursues the boss's daughter and wins out over her father in a business deal. Made into a movie in 1936, it is an apology for the power of positive thinking, or self-delusion, perhaps. Several full-page illustrations. Normal edge wear and soil with no writing. 307 pp. plus ads.
