Original maroon cloth on boards. Inscribed to Dr. James Graham and signed by the editor on front endpaper when Stanley was Lieutenant-Governor of New Brunswick in 1985. Laid in are: presentation letter from the Office of the Lieutenant-Governor with envelope (the postage stamp has been removed), and Dr. Graham's full-page typed letter of acknowledgement with various personal comments related to Lt.-Gov. Stanley. The editor concludes that Burgoyne lost his campaign because of a breakdown in the civilian transport system, rather than his plan or execution of battle. Foldout map. 194 pp. with index.
