Original blue cloth on boards, title in gilt. Probable first edition. Very little background found on this volume. The author (1850-1922) was born in Ohio and attended Vassar, graduating in 1869. She travelled widely, which provided ample material for her many books, titles of which often begin with "Romance of (place)..." Interior is clean and sound, but previous owner has autographed the prelims a few too many times. 235 pp.
